Why this exists
The CSDDD is a moving target. The 2026 Omnibus I package rewrote the thresholds, pushed back the timeline, softened the chain-of-activities obligations, and scaled back the climate transition plan duty. More Commission guidance is still to come. You can't read one article and be done. So instead of asking you to watch the EU Official Journal, we do it, and we send you the short version.
How often you'll hear from us
Monthly, plus breaking-change alerts. The monthly issue rounds up what moved. The alerts go out the moment something material lands, so a deadline shift or a new guidance note reaches you in days, not after your next audit.
What's in each issue
- What changed, written so you don't need a law degree to follow it.
- What it means for you, separated by company size and role where it matters.
- What to do next, in concrete steps.
- A link to the official source, every time, so you can check our work.
Who reads The CSDDD Brief
- Suppliers and SMEs who got a due-diligence questionnaire from a big customer and need to stay current without hiring anyone.
- Compliance and sustainability managers who own the programme and need to brief leadership on every change.
- Procurement and legal generalists handed CSDDD with no starting template.
- Advisers and association staff who need to stay authoritative for their clients.
- Anyone tracking the Omnibus changes, the thresholds, and the 2028/2029 deadlines.
The fine print, kept honest
We have no software to sell and no demo to book, and we are not affiliated with the EU, so the newsletter exists to inform you, not to soften you up for a pitch. We won't sell or share your email. Unsubscribe in one click, any time. See how we handle your data on our privacy page.
